Members of St. Mary’s Green Team met with MPP Daisy Wai on Thursday, August 10 to present the petition signed by 100 of her constituents from St. Mary’s and Richmond Hill requesting: the repeal of Bill 23;  the preservation of Greenbelt lands;  the re-instatement of Conservation Authorities’ power of floodplain management, wildlife habitat protection and public education; and public consultation be reinstated into the planning process. Ms Wai agreed to present the petition to the Premier and the PC Caucus and let us know the results of the meeting.
