Marriage

If you are considering getting married at St. Mary’s please contact the church office as soon as possible. At least thirty days’ notice is needed and, under some circumstances, considerably more. A copy of the current wedding policies is available here.

If you are considering getting married in an Anglican service in a location other than an Anglican church, please be aware that the Anglican Church of Canada and the Anglican Diocese of Toronto have canons (rules) and guidelines. Please see our document Marriages taking place outside the church.

Wherever you plan to be married a marriage preparation course of some kind is required. St. Mary’s recommends the Marriage Preparation Program led by the Rev. Brian Murray. Mr. Murray’s organization Humanitas is based in Aurora, Ontario. He offers his program throughout the GTA.
