Women’s World Day of Prayer 2022 Virtual Program

This year was St. Matthew’s United Church’s turn to hold the World Day of Prayer for Richmond Hill.  Due to COVID, St. Matthew’s felt they could not hold an in-person meeting for 2022.  Instead, they have offered a video link to the national online service in Canada, for the Women’s World Day of Prayer.  Please share this information with your friends, and click here or below to watch the service.

The Women’s World Day of Prayer is traditionally held on the first Friday of March and this year’s theme and program has been prepared by the women of England, Wales and Northern Ireland.  This year’s service has been adapted for use in Canada by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada.  The program for 2022 is entitled;  “I Know the Plans I Have for You.”

Since 1927, a different host country has prepared the content of the World Day of Prayer service, highlighting its country’s culture and regional justice issues.

If you wish to donate to the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada, please click here.  Thank you to all those who are able to help support this important work.  If you need to type the link into your device, the link provided by the Women’s Inter-Church Council of Canada site is easier to type in: https://wicmailbox@rhccc.cac.org/world-day-of-prayer-2022-service-video
