St. Mary’s Harvest-tide and Thanksgiving Updates

Dear friends,

It is the time of year where we now begin to look towards the harvests of our lives and take a moment to dwell in a spirit thanksgiving.  This Harvest-tide and Thanksgiving Season we invite you to join us at St. Mary’s and participate in all our celebrations as you are able to do!

On Sunday, October 6th we begin our celebrations with the Sunday observance of Harvest Home.  At our services this Sunday, we look to celebrate God’s blessings, poured out upon the Harvests which have been gathered in to feed us and our neighbours.  On this Sunday we look to learn from the cycles of creation and remember that as our creator is at work in the fields of the earth, so to is our creator tending to the fields of our hearts and lives.

On Sunday, October 13th, St. Mary’s will celebrate Thanksgiving Sunday at our church services during our Thanksgiving Long Weekend.  This weekend we look to celebrate and acknowledge the blessings of our nation and our own lives.  We gather to praise God for our blessings and to also find ways to journey deeper into a spirit of Thankfulness.

To top off and draw to a close this joyful season, St. Mary’s will be holding our annual Harvest Feast Dinner on Saturday, October 26th.  This supper is one of our two large fundraising dinners and is open to everyone.  We welcome and invite everyone to join us for this special event.  Please click on the ‘Harvest Dinner” link below to open a pdf flyer with all the details.  The Dinner will be from 6 to 10 pm and all are welcome.  Tickets are $30/Adults, $15/ Children 10 & over and Kids under 10 are free.  We look forward to seeing you there!
